D Day 80

The 6th of June 2024 saw the 80th anniversary of D Day during World War Two.

The day started with a proclamation at 0800 across the country.

In the evening the celebrations continued with another reading of the proclamation in John Whitehead Park, followed by the lighting of a beacon. The beacon lighting was coordinated across the country.
