Another Set of Buckles!

Managed to find another set of buckles for my shoes. These are French and look to be antique.

I was drawn to them because they are “landscape” instead of “portrait.

I gave them a clean but couldn’t change the colour, I was hoping they would be a bit more gold than copper but c’est la vie.

So, a quick spray of gold paint, followed by a brushing with some clear sparkly gold flake paint changed it to something closer to what I was looking for. That of course was followed by a liberal affixing of bling to finish it off.

Sadly, I didn’t have quite enough diamanté to finish the job but reinforcements are on the way and should be here early next week. This will allow me to finish this buckle and start the other one.
