A Busy Saturday

I had a very busy Saturday this weekend. I had to drop my livery off at the Town Council Office just before 12 then rush up to Thornaby to get changed and spend an awesome three hours playing Santa at a local church. I had so much fun and met some lovely, lovely people, including many children (of all ages).
After that was done and all the theatrical glue removed it was another mad dash back to Billingham to get changed for the light switch on.
First job of the evening was to introduce Singing Sue's Vocal Academy. I was stationed on the bandstand and the group, and the crowd, were all the way across at the other side of the market square.
What that meant was that I really had to get the volume up loud, and probably for the first time, I had to actually shout.
That job done, I spent the next hour wandering round, meeting people and having so many photographs taken. I think it's fair to say that I'm not a naturally smiley person so my smile muscles were aching by the end of the evening.
Next job on the agenda was the switching on of the lights. This was done by Freya, a local young lady who is well known in the town as Baby Dino, although she came as herself for this one. Freya was joined by 3 cast members from Beauty and The Beast who came in their outfits. The first time anyone has come close to upstaging me!
Here's a picture of me in my very Christmassy waistcoat and a picture of the cast with a corner of me in it.
